Where Is Brock Barnhouse From: Pastor Brock was born and raised in Richmond, Ohio.

Education: B.A. in Business from Mt. Vernon Nazarene College.

Salvation Experience: At the age of five, Pastor Brock accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior at the Bloomingdale Church of God.

Ministry Experience: In 2002 Pastor Brock took the position of Minister of Music/Associate Pastor for the Winchester First Church of God in Winchester, Kentucky. He left Winchester in July of 2008 to become the Senior Pastor of the New Horizons Community Church of God in Columbus Ohio. He then left New Horizons to become the Senior Pastor of the Barrs Mill Church of God in September of 2012.

Family: Brock married the love of his life, Stephanie, on April 13, 1996. Brock and Stephanie have two daughters (Jessica and Jenna) and one son (Parker). Jessica married Bryan Bradshaw where they reside in Winchester, Kentucky. Bryan and Jessica have one daughter, Emma Marie Bradshaw.

Hobbies/Interests: Pastor Brock loves sports (in particular golf and football). He is an avid Ohio State football fan. One of his favorite things to do is having ‘Family Night’ with his wife and children where they will all watch a movie together while eating Stephanie’s famous homemade pizza along with Brock’s homemade milkshakes.

Some Things You Might Not Know About Pastor Brock:
Pastor Brock grew up in a Christian family with a music ministry. He and his family would go around churches in the Ohio Valley and minister to various congregations. When Pastor Brock was around five or six, they stood him on a chair to sing so everyone could see him. Pastor Brock also played baseball for most of his growing up years. He was able to play four years of collegiate baseball for Mt. Vernon Nazarene (Batted left-handed and his favorite infield position: Third base!)

Favorite Music: Pastor Brock does not have one particular favorite kind of music. However, he does enjoy listening to the following: Christian pop, Christian rap, Southern Gospel, Big Band music from the 40s and 50s.

Favorite Food: Pizza (in particular pizza from the Ohio Valley – there’s nothing like it!)

Favorite Drink: Pepsi or Mountain Dew Slushies’ from Speedway!

Favorite Movie or TV Shows: The National Treasure movies, The Andy Griffith Show, This Old House, Antiques Roadshow, anything that deals with history!
If you are new to the 'Mill' or have not been coming for very long you are you are invited to attend a 'Pastor's Luncheon'. This is a casual lunch where you can sit down with Pastor Brock and his family and Pastor Kevin and get to know them as well as ask whatever questions you may have about the church. These lunches are typically scheduled every three months and occur after Sunday morning services. There is no cost to you so make sure you talk to Pastor Brock and he will be glad to give you the details of how to be apart of this event.
