This list represents great Christian works from a number of backgrounds and many generations. It is representative of mainstream Christian orthodoxy. You will find nothing from the extreme fringes of accepted Christianity because it is in these fringes where heresy develops. This list contains some material that is more difficult than what the average Christian currently reads, but it is intended not only to inspire us, but to challenge and inform us as we mine the depths of Scripture.
