On May 31st, we will begin meeting together in-person at the Barrs Mill Church of God. As we have been planning for our worship gatherings, we believe it is necessary to do everything we can to ensure that we are providing a clean and healthy environment for worshipers. In light of this responsibility, we will need to make some adjustments to our gatherings.

First, if you do not feel comfortable coming back to worship gatherings at this point, do not feel pressured to attend gatherings. If you are at a higher risk, we certainly understand that this may not yet be the time for you to come back to our in-person gatherings. We will continue to provide access to our worship gatherings through video online.

We will be offering two options for Sunday morning worship. We will have services at 9:00am and 11:00am. We are doing this so that, to the best of our ability, we can reduce the number of people in the room.

We will not be having any Sunday school classes for adults or children. At this point, we will not be having nursery.

We will not be opening the HE-brews cafe.

We will be meeting for worship in the fellowship hall located in the lower level. We are doing this so that we can quickly and easily clean the room between services.

As you come in, you will see chairs set up in rows separated by 6 feet.

The doors leading into the fellowship hall will be open before and after services so that no one will need to touch the doors to enter or exit the building.

We ask that those of us who are healthy and able, park in the upper parking lot and walk down around the building to enter directly into the fellowship hall. If you are able, leave the lower parking lot by the fellowship hall open for individuals who would have difficulty walking from the upper parking lot.

Masks are not required, but we encourage you to wear a mask if you would like.

Please remember to stay 6 feet from other individuals outside of those who are immediate family or individuals who have traveled with you to church.

We will not be passing offering plates. If you are bringing your tithes and offerings to Sunday worship, you will find 2 clearly marked boxes that you can use to deposit your offerings.

We have a team of people who have committed to cleaning everything in the room after the 9:00 service. You can have confidence that we are doing everything we possibly can to provide a clean and healthy environment for our worship gatherings.

We look forward to fellowship together in worship as we offer ourselves to God. Psalm 122:1 says, “I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”” We rejoice that we are able once again to come together in worship. Though it may look different for a time, we remember that worship is a disposition of heart. “Worship is as much what you bring to the service as what you do there. It is an inclination of the heart to glorify God (Chuck Swindoll).” We look forward in anticipation to what God has for us as we incline our hearts toward Him in worship
